Sorry for the delay as our client work comes first. I also needed a bit of recovery time as the festival was awesome! Spontaneous Illumination was music, art, culture and community in the park on a glorious calm night. Mid way through, a light drizzle of rain wet the grass as flames were thrown by flaming rope, poi and staff. Check out the photos and videos (coming soon). It was great to see everyone out in the park as the sun set and see you next year - Saturday April 19, 2008 for the 4th annual PI Lantern Festival!

The third annual Protection Island Lantern Festival has just been announced! We've decided to focus on making some dazzling lanterns instead of tarping this year and the weather forecast is so far on our side (knock on wood!). In celebration of Earth Day, the Protection Island 2007 Lantern Festival is calling all able bodies to look at their recycling and imagine a beautiful lantern forming! Surprises are eminent with Spontaneous Illumination but one new change will be a warming bonfire added to our hot chocolate from the Station 7 Fire Department. Help us decorate the path with shells off the beach. Musicians and performers are most welcome!
